What would have happened if during the latter stages of World War 2 Churchill had Stalin assassinated?

That the question on which this book is based is an interesting one instantly drew me to this book. I have a liking for alternate history tales so this one appealed from the get-go. The writing of this book I feel would appeal to people who did not have this interest, though. Ben Bova has the knack of writing some stories which can hinge around an interesting premise which stands out a little from the majority of Science Fiction stories, the genuinely original idea. And then he manages to convert this idea into a very well constructed novel.
