Prince Conar Aleksandro McGregor wants some freedom. However, as the heir-apparent to the throne of Serenia this is not likely. To add to everything else he is betrothed to a princess from another realm. He has never met, nor even seen Princess Anya but a friend travelled to her home on his behalf and brought back tales of her indescribable ugliness – so bad that she gains the unenviable nickname of Toad! One day he meets Liza, the woman of his dreams. Beautiful, independent AND good with a sword. What more could he ever ask for? However, he knows that he will never be able to make this woman his wife as he has to marry princess Anya. Still, there is quite a bit of time to go before the wedding….. Windkeeper is a good fantasy romance. It is fun to read, especially the sections where Liza shows him exactly who is boss. OK, the ending is predictable but so what! Sometimes the best part isn't the final destination it is the route taken to get there and in the case of Windkeeper it is a wonderful journey. A gentle, feel-good book that will make you smile and leave you with a touch of the warm-fluffies! |
