Windweeper is the 3rd book in the Windlegends Saga and details the next period the turbulent lives of Conar and Liza McGregor. After being kept apart for many weeks Conar and Liza are back together and trying to pick up the pieces of their relationship. After being tortured by the evil Kaileel Tohre, Conar is having nightmares and is starting to doubt Liza's fidelity. As Conar's mental state deteriorates his relationship with both his family and his wife is destroyed. Is Liza's love for him enough to restore her husband to his old self?

Usually, after this many books in a series the storyline begins to breakdown as the author starts to run out of ideas. Not in the case of Windweeper. If anything Charlotte Boyett-Compo's writing is building impetus as the story progresses. With each volume the characters are becoming more and more real. It is so good to read a story that does not necessarily have a happy ending.

When I was first told that there were 10 books in this series I fond the whole concept rather daunting. After all, a decalogy is quite a commitment! Still, I am thoroughly enjoying this series and I am looking forward to the next volume.
