If you are bitten by a stray dog, the accepted procedure is to find the mutt and find out if you need rabies shots; it is not normal for said canine to show up on your doorstep with an apology and unbelievable claim.

However, that's what Marty Andrews faces when she is bitten and an all too sexy guy calls upon her subsequently, apologizing to her for accidentally turning her into a werewolf. At first, she thinks Keegan hot, but nuts.

Proof is proof, though, and she can't deny what she is for long. Moreover, someone is trying to kill her, possibly because of being bitten by Keegan, being in his protective custody is not exactly on her to do list much less her color wheel, and there's a jealous female wolf who lives up to the title of female dog quite un-nicely. Of course, Marty is not going to let killers or jilted rivals keep her from having a fabulous life, fur or no fur.

If Bridget Jones became a lycanthrope, she might be Marty. Fun and flirty humor is cleverly interspersed with dramatic mystery and action. It's hard to know which character to love best, though, Keegan or Muffin, the toy poodle that steals more than one scene.
