Betsy Taylor's had a heck of a year. On her thirtieth birthday, she became a vampire, then found out she was the long prophecied Queen of Vampires. Shortly after that, she found herself married, under vampire law, to the guy who ticked her off the most in the world, discovered an ability to talk to ghosts or anything else dead, moved to a mansion with her best friends, and found out her sister was the devil's spawn, literally. Actually, Laura is a total sweetie. Being nice is the best way to rebel against a parent like she has. Now, a year later, Betsy is trying to fast from blood drinking, discovering unwelcome things about those she loves the most, planning a wedding, dealing with P.R., diplomatic immunity problems, zombies, and hoping no one pays attention to her edict not to celebrate her birthday. If it's not one thing, it's fifteen, in Bety's world. Make sure you have enough breath to laugh a long time before you read this. Betsy's problems are over the top funny, but seem to be something that could really happen, if vampires existed. There are even a few profound touches sprinkled among the lol moments. This is simply fun, no two ways about it. |
