It's Christmas time again and the ladies of Carpathia have decided to hold a Christmas party/family union to celebrate not only the holy day, but the rejuvenation of their race. Virtually every couple from every Dark book has assembled at Prince Mikhail's command. They anticipate facing no more dangers than those found in the kitchen or the potential battle over which male is forced to play Santa in full regalia.

Of course, those are not the only perils. With new lives coming into the world, their enemies feel threatened and are on the move against the Carpathians. Yet, even with that to dim things, overall, there are more positive things for the various couples to deal with.

In one novel, Ms. Feehan is able to catch readers up with characters they have loved and lost touch with, as well as planting seeds for future stories. There is much more comedy than is the norm for this series, despite the moments of foreboding. Mikhail, especially, displays a flair for humor. For fans of the series, I dare say, this is a must read.

Synopsis
From the uninhibited imagination of Christine Feehan comes a sensual adventure of her beloved Carpathians-one of undying passion, astonishing fantasy, and eternal love.

They are the Carpathians. For years, they have been persecuted by their enemies, and have struggled against all odds to preserve their species. Now, a new insidious plot has been devised-one that would slaughter Carpathian females and bring an end to all that the Carpathians have worked for.

Even with his own lifemate, Raven, and their daughter Savannah, in danger, Carpathian king Mikhail believes that all is not lost. Gathering all of his people together, he will forge a new bond of strength, joining their powers in a celebration that will bring light even in this dark time.
