Long ago, Falcon was lost from the Carpathians, but now, after finding his lifemate, he must return to his people. The danger Sara Marten faces is too great for one man to handle alone. To protect her and the children she has rescued, Falcon will risk anything in Christine Feehan's 'Dark Dream'. In 'A Dream of Stone and Shadow', Charlie is a prisoner of a witch, a gargoyle who dies regularly and in doing so, is freed to wander in the spirit realm. While there, he sees a girl who needs to be rescued, and so, he turns to Aggie Durand, a female warrior whose gifts help her fight for those who need more protection than standard channels provide. Love between the two of them should be impossible, shouldn't it? Aggie lives to rescue people, even people who are not exactly human, so anything is possible. Fans of the Carpathian books will find Ms. Feehan's story much like the others in the series. Ms. Liu has penned an unsual tale, with new twists to the romance. Charlie is a unique hero, as is the love that blossoms between him and Aggie. I wish their story had taken longer to tell. |
