Christine Feehan has written another great book in her Drake Sisters saga.

Abby Drake is the third daughter of the Drake clan. A magically endowed family of seven sisters who's magic is passed down though the generations. Abby has retuned home to try and find joy in her life again. The only place she truly feels peace is swimming with her beloved dolphins. A Marine Biologist by trade with her PhD in dolphins she has spent her adult life following them.

Upon returning to dock after an early evening swim with the local dolphins, she inadvertently witnesses a dual murder on the docks. When the killers notice her boat coming in they try to kill her too, only with her dolphin's assistance does she manage to elude the killers and save one of the victims. When she is finally able to drag herself and the wounded man out of the water, she is accosted by another gun wielding man, a man she has very good reason to recognize, the man who broke her heart.

Alexsandr Volsotv is a Russian Interpol Agent and he has been looking for Abby since she disappeared out of his life 4 years ago. While tracking an international smuggling ring importing Russian antiquities into the States, he has come to Sea Haven to investigate a tip regarding unusual boating activity offshore. His partner being one of the two men Abby witnessed being shot.

Alexsandr knows about Abby's paranormal powers but is still unprepared for the formidable talent her sisters wield with their combined magical powers. When he drops the bombshell that Abby is his fiancée, she refuses to talk about it and he refuses to let her get away from him again.

Sea Haven Cove, a quiet little sea side town, is about to become a hot spot as Interpol and the Sheriff try to figure out just what is going on. Smuggling Antiquities, no matter how loathsome, just isn't worth killing an Interpol agent over and they need to figure it out quickly after another attempt is made on Abby's life.

With the body count growing the seven sisters band together to help Alexsandr and Abby solve the mystery. Alexsandr will do whatever is necessary to protect Abby and hope that it doesn't drive her away again and Abby must decide if she will risk her heart and trust Alexsandr again.

A splendid romantic suspense with enough magic, spice and intriguing characters to keep you turning pages long after you should have turned out the lights. It's going to be hard waiting for the next book in the series.

After years of wandering, Abby Drake has found her way home. Like her sisters, she is gifted with powers that can be both a torment and a blessing; hers give her a special relationship with all things of the sea, especially dolphins. Yet, her angst over her powers is at least one of the things that kept her from finding her true love with Sasha, the dangerous Russian agent she loved and lost four years ago.

Now, Sasha has come back into her life and he needs help that only her powers can provide. Is this a second chance for them or will his mission take a deadly turn that ends all their hopes?

Though not as strong a series as the early Dark books, it's hard not to like a book - especially with dolphins in it. Abby's emotional turmoil is very understandable, seeing how her gifts have set her apart from the majority of the world. Supporting characters provide comic relief and quirks that lighten the seriousness of the overall plot.
