Set in Israel, Palestine and mostly, the USA, this is a book about terrorism of the highest degree. The reader is informed of the intention to deliver death by a flying fragmentation bomb right from the beginning. It is the interaction between the terrorists, their accomplices and the Law, both from Israel and the USA, which forms the basis of the plot. Each side has its own way of achieving a result and the reader is left in suspense to the very end. After reading Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal, I did not know what to expect from this book. The style is, as before, hard-hitting and straightforward in a typical American style. The characters are great. I felt as though I knew each one intimately and enjoyed their successes and failures within the story. It is a fairly easy book to read, but time needs to be taken to appreciate the complexities of the minds of the combatants. Well worth reading at any time! |
