Anne

One man's campaign to find an especially vicious serial killer. He seeks advice from Hannibal Lecter, a convicted killer, genius and psychological manipulator.

Plot
A well conceived plot with a good consistent story, from beginning to end. It could have been overplayed and ultra-shocking, but, in fact, is quite subtle and very compelling.

Characters
Very believable - totally different types of characters from those portayed in the films. Lecter is clever, extremely manipulative and cunning, in addition to having the lowest of morals and deeds. The police are portrayed sensibly, they are methodical, logical and very realistic.

General
A very good read - better and more intersting than the film (Manhunter), and demands a lot of attention to follow the intricacies of the plot and complex investigations. Well recommended.
