I've recently read Hicks and Horns' work, and been stricken with a desire to read more of their deviant craft and embrace their darkness; becoming their loyal follower. Reading this collection, I am not shocked that these two authors have such a devoted following. Their work is completely fear-provoking and riding on possibilities that lie between reality and fantasy. Creating believable to the unbelievably. However, once you open these unholy pages, you will not be able to discern from what side is which. I call Exit the Light the Horns and Hicks Unholy Book of Darkness.

Terry "Horns" Erwin and Walt Hicks are portrayed as the most devout disciples of horror. After reading their book: Exit the Light I can vouch for their daunting legacy. These prophetic grisly tales will send you into shivers. You get service with a gore-soaked smile at the "Showdown at the One Way Café" where evil stares its victims in the face through the hungry eyes of Dr. Stiletto. You are also given menacing envelopes with messages that will send you into a blood-curdling fear in "Deadly Crescendo".

While petrified Toni is forced to eat she sees the evil black eyes and blood coming for her, could it be the legend of the "Bog Men" coming back for more while a little old woman reminisces? Autumn has arrived donning its reds and oranges and yellows as Gretchen and Trask prepare for "Oktoberfeast" --this ceremony is sure to leave you feeling feverish and achy all over.

Those two tales aforementioned, had the eerie ambiance of "The Fog"

Jake King was a normal, everyday man until the desalination plant he worked at took on Biblical importance and he confides in a young beauty in "Crooked Serpent". Could this desalination plant be one of many aiding in rising Leviathan?

Within this ill-omened themed book: EXIT THE LIGHT, consisting of thirty-two sinful stories, you are bound to understand where Horns and Hicks get their legacy of being known as the devout disciples of horror. Each word will be as if you have been viciously swiped with a viperous sandpapery tongue.

These gruesome-horror authors know our fears and our deepest thoughts and these thirty-two glimpses into Hell will leave your heart quivering inside its cold blackened hole. Each tale will relentlessly bathe you with the sinful roaring flames of Hell; terrorizing your souls.

Do you feel the panic setting in? If so, you are ready to journey with the two disciples of Hell and EXIT THE LIGHT.
