Moreover, Lisa's destiny and past have an incredible secret contained within them that is the key to saving the world from a witch's terrible scheme. Two thousand years of fate are about to come to fruition, thanks to a magical love that defies all the rules.

Not many books surprise me, but this one is packed with aha moments. Ms. James' imaginative story is exceptionally intriguing. Though I did have to read around some highly sensual looking parts, most people will find those to be a plus, but their omission did not hamper the story. Malcolm is also a most interesting character and I do hope this is not the last we see of him.
