Victor Galloway had everything. Wife, son, career as a prominent surgeon. Everything. One day, while working in his garden he has a heart attack. Struggling to the porch he phones for help. When the ambulance turns to take him to Holy Evangelical Lady of the Lake up he thinks that everything is going to be OK. That is until he hears one of the doctors say "you would have had a fifty-fifty chance... if we hadn't answered the call". When Victor finally wakes up he is dead. You would think that at this point things couldn't get any worse for him – WRONG! Death is the least of his worries. Dark Resurrection is an unusual horror tale with a unique storyline. The characters are convincing and well detailed. Sometimes, in horror tales, I find the non-horrific characters are a little 2-dimensional. This is not the case with John Karr's story. Although this is a fairly long book I can honestly say that at no point did I feel that the story lost momentum. Quite the opposite. John Karr is a skilled author and I look forward to reading more of his work in the future. |
