The last of his kind, Thanael Tanner has come to earth after embracing the soul of the Raheeni, a very sensual, violent race of Vampiric creatures, he's developed the persona of a motivational speaker, specializing in a rather avant garde treatment form. Nora is a crack FBI agent with a secret passion for vampires and finds herself unofficially assigned to investigate strange rumors surrounding Nathaneal "Thanael" Tanner's expensive and exclusive retreats. Thanael is inexorably drawn to Nora like he has been drawn to no other human since his arrival n earth, but will she be strong enough to accept the secrets he holds? Will Nora be able to let down her guard with the sensual Thanael and find the soul mate she's longed for? Will Nora be able to embrace her hidden desires and can she accept the explanation? Will Thanael be able to reconcile his own deepest fears with Nora's help? The second in the Soul series written by Sahara Kelly from Ellora's Cave is an intricate story of loneliness, revenge, guilt, love and forgiveness. This book is truly an excellent follow up to Scars of the Lash, in what is looking like a marvelous series. Scars of the Soul is a very well written foray into the darker fantasies with strong well developed characters, an intriguing story line and a special bond between fated mates. Though not as extreme, it's every bit as interesting and sensual as its predecessor. While this book does not require reading the first in the series, there are some very interesting allusions that will be recognized from the first book as well as giving more background into the savage and sensual Raheeni culture. This book has been rated E-Rotic by Ellora's cave. |
