For aeons, Sin has despised Artemis for stripping him of his powers and mocking him. When the former Sumerian god gets the opportunity to torture her, he grabs it eagerly, only learning after the capture that he has abducted not Artemis, but her secret daughter, Kat. Soon, however, he finds himself impossibly falling into at least lust, if not love, with the fiery young woman. However, they have bigger problems than his old grudge. The forces that the Dark Hunters were created, at least in part, to oppose are rallying to bring about the end of the world. Between utter destruction and mankind stands Kat, Sin, Artemis, two demons with the minds of teenaged girls, and Acheron, who is forced to stand against his own mother. Sacrifices will be made and secrets revealed in this action packed, masterfully written tale. If you have mourned that Ash was just a supporting character in most previous books in this series, then you will be thrilled to learn he has a central role in this one. We learn more about the enigmatic man than ever before, and it's all intriguing. Though the by-play between him and Artemis is not meant to be the main plot, it will capture your attention and steal the show. Despite the overall seriousness of things, Simi, as usual, provides a great deal of fun and humor, as does her sister's straight man act. |
