If you have mourned that Ash was just a supporting character in most previous books in this series, then you will be thrilled to learn he has a central role in this one. We learn more about the enigmatic man than ever before, and it's all intriguing. Though the by-play between him and Artemis is not meant to be the main plot, it will capture your attention and steal the show. Despite the overall seriousness of things, Simi, as usual, provides a great deal of fun and humor, as does her sister's straight man act.
