It only takes a second for Vane Kattalarkis to be captivated by Bride McTierney, and she can't help but be completely fascinated by the handsome man who walks into her shop making grand and romantic gestures out of the blue. She also loves his wolf form, though she has no idea that the man and wolf are one and the same, a fact that will cause Vane a problem or two as he tries to be in the same place as different beings at the same time, or as near as he can manage.

Vane can not believe that Bride, a full human, has been marked by Fate as his mate, but he does know he loves and will protect her. These two emotionally scarred people who are filled with self doubt are about to find a new way to see themselves, through the eyes of love. However, Vane's mother hates him and wants him and those he loves dead.

Although this book does not quite live up to many of the other Night Hunter books, it is worth a look. Bride goes against the idea that heroines must be perfect beauties, something that will encourage many readers. Humor and action make this a fast read, so if you have kept up with the series, even if weres are not your thing, it won't take long to read it.
