This book was never going to work completely for me. I do not want to be an author, and so the pages contained herein about grammatical form and composition are not all that interesting. What is interesting to me are the sections where King talks about what inspires him and certain events that happened to him throughout his life.

For those sections alone it is worth reading this, but if you do want advice on writing I cannot imagine many better places to go for it. By the way the relatively low score I give this book is mainly due to this not being my kind of topic, if I was just scoring the passages I liked I think this might get an eight.
