I went through a period a few years ago when I stopped reading Stephen King's books. Having read this book I am very glad that I started again. This book is wonderfully realistic, and I felt strongly for the lead character, the nine-year old girl Trisha McFarland, I was willing her on, hoping that she would be okay through most of the book. I found that whenever I had to (reluctantly) put this book down I could not wait until the next time I picked it up.

I would gladly recommend this to people who want a gripping read.
