Two very special babies are born in different states in the USA. They are destined to come together for a special reason. A lapsed priest turned detective feels urged to investigate and protect them, whilst a killer gets a similar urge, only his is to destroy them.

Plot
A superb plot. Very complex and enigmatic with many twists and turns along the way. The final conclusion is surprising and yet, in some ways, not totally unexpected.

Characters
Extremely good characters, believable and uncompromising. Their minds and actions are complex and very absorbing. Each characters paints their own unique picture, their take on events in a thoroughly engrossing way.

General
This is a very long and complex book. However it is well worth persevering as each chapter is relevant to the story and often impacts on events much further along in the plot. This is well worth reading.
