A princess, bent on saving her cousin's life when he is suspected of treachery, makes a deal that will change her future. Posing as a member of her father's harem, she has a one night stand with one of his trusted friends who fails to recognize her. Neither can forget that night, and the consequences of it are not unexpected, albeit dangerous.

These incidents move her father's mind into the past, to recall the love he shared with her mother, a warrior priestess, not unlike the most recent cinematic Guinevere. With the help of the past, the present and future become acceptable.

Although between the extended flashback breaking apart the main story and the high degree of sensuality the novel is somewhat diminished, the author has crafted another society with notable care, and if you have managed to read her other books out of order, reading this may be useful in understanding Last Chance for Love a bit better.
