Suddenly, Mrs Greenberg's furniture slides across the room and sticks to the wall. It has no reason to do so and cannot be replaced. Harry, a clairvoyant is co opted in to try to find a reason for this anomaly. BUT this is only the beginning--and houses, people and their possessions all slide into black holes which suddenly appear. Harry approaches an old friend and is introduced to an unusual psychic. Through him Harry learns the reason for this continuing destruction. Everything is connected with places where the native Indians have been killed, and their local wonder-men, together with their age-old gods are out to redress the crimes. It is up to Harry and his friends to stop the end of the USA. This book has a most unusual plot and for the first chapters it is riveting. However it periodically becomes rather a little tedious with repetitious descriptions of disappearing paraphernalia as well as multiple recounting of the history of native America. The characters themselves are very well written but I found that when the perpetrator was finally described, I wanted to laugh at the description. It would have been better to have left a little to the imagination. A book worth reading (not in bed in the dark!), but one to approach with plenty of time and patience. |
