Aisling Grey never asked for all the complications in her life, but now she hopes to straighten things out and simplify a bit. Following the latest unwelcome surprise sprung on her by her Wyvern mate, Drake, she moves to London with the intent of being mentored as a Guardian. Drake is not supposed to be in London. She's left Draconian politics behind, or so she thinks. In a trice, her mentor is banned from mentoring, their apartment is burned down, Aisling's pet demon, Jim, has incurred the wrath of all imps everywhere, and the political situation mushrooms.

Not only does Aisling have to worry about how the dragons wrestle for power, but she's been nominated for a job she does not want and there is a demon lord demanding her loyalty. Moreover, Drake, along with all the other Wyverns, is in London, adding all the emotional baggage he comes with to the mix. What's more, his mother hates Aisling.

Aisling's world is a fascinating one. Every time you learn something new about it, the knowledge raises more questions. Who says humor can't have an element of intrigue? Someone who has never read Katie MacAlister, I suppose. This book combines romance, humor, and intellectually intriguing concepts. Treat yourself to it.
