Michael McCrann Information and Links
Michael McCrann is a new horror writer whose first published work, Midnight
Tableau, has just been released by Double Dragon Publishing. He has been writing dark
fiction for the past three years and is a member of the Horror Writer's Association. His work has
its roots in the descriptive, character-driven style of Richard Matheson, Stephen King,
Ed Gorman and Shirley Jackson. He aims to be more creepy than scary, the chills often
more psychological and emotional in nature, as he consciously avoids the blood and
gore conventions of the modern horror genre.
Michael was born in 1965. He lives in Long Island, New York with his wife and
two children. In addition to fiction writing he enjoys spending time with his
family, reading, playing chess, and tropical fish keeping. He is currently
working on a novel-length, supernatural thriller.
