Lord Kir of Oz is set in the erotically sensual world of Wonderland, where sexuality is expressed overtly, and consensual bondage is normal. This book can be read as a standalone or in conjunction with the Wonderland series, King of Hearts, King of Spades, King of Clubs, King of Diamonds all taking place in the same world but in different kingdoms. When Abby Osborne decides its time to leave her Aunt's Kansas farm and strikeout on her own, she really doesn't envision being sucked up in the tornado bearing down on her or on being dumped in a world of shapeshifters, but here she is sucked through a door in space and time. Lord Kir is quite surprised to see the twisted metal wreck at the edge of the yellow brick road leading to his kingdom, and even more so when he discovered its injured occupant and the wolfhound guarding her, but even he can see her head injuries are in need of immediate attention and he is taken slightly aback at his instantly possessive nature of the injured female in his arms. Abby, upon waking in the arms of what can only be a girls best wet dream, can only assume this is some sort of erotic dream esp when the hunk seems to command those around him with impunity. Even his punishment techniques are right out of an erotic fantasy novel, but Abby soon discovers this isn't a dream but very much a reality in the Kingdom of Oz and even worse it would seem she is falling for someone who will not, or cannot love her as an equal, something Abby just isn't willing to do without. The fantasy starts to become serious though when it's discovered that Lord Balin is once again on the attack, and this time the target seems to be Lord Kir's Kingdom of Oz. Kir, had assisted the four Kings of Wonderland in their previous battles with Balin, and now Balin has sworn revenge and his revenge was to be capturing Abby, Kir's undeclared mate. As Abby has no knowledge of the previous battles with Balin or his evil intentions, she becomes his unwitting pawn, unable to block his mental suggestions and quite possibly, becoming the bait needed to capture Kir. Will Abby's love of Kir be enough to keep her in a palatial prison? Will Kir allow Abby her freedom or risk her love by keeping her prisoner? Will Balin's treachery capture Abby and be the cause of Kir's torture and death? This is a terrific addition to the Wonderland series. It is a wonderfully erotic, feel- good fantasy, set in a world of shapeshifters, magic and fated love. Another gem in the Wonderland Crown. |
