At the end of Echoes of Angels, readers were ushered into a new world then left to eagerly await the climactic next installment. Your patience is now rewarded in this sequel that picks up right where the last one ended. Morgan has now returned to his homeworld after centuries to face destiny. While he was gone, his enemies, the evil Xavier and Morgan's own twin sister, Megwyn, grew in power and now Morgan is all that stands between them and ruling the three worlds with iron fists. Stopping them is all Morgan feels he has left; he is sure that his mate, Julie, is dead. However, she is not. Although deeply wounded, further scarred, and now hosting a mutant inside herself, Julie lives, albeit barely. When the two reunite, Morgan must do what he never intended to do, return to Earth, in hopes of saving her. If the price she paid to live last time was bitter, this one is doubly so. Life as she knows it will end for eternity when Morgan transforms her into a unique being, one capable of standing beside him for centuries if they survive the coming conflict against two who care for nothing save themselves. The battle ahead of them will strain hearts, souls, minds and bodies, but it will be worth it. The intensity of the second book is triple that of the first as two worlds are spanned. Light moments provided by an elf give a few breathers in this fantastic and gritty tale of good, evil, and all the shades of grey in between. |
