All Night Inn is a delight to read! Filled with parafolk, Nightwalkers, Shapeshifters and Spellcasters, Janet Miller creates an entertaining world where the paranormal folk are all trying to get along amongst the "norms", as well as lots of grins, touching and passionate moments. Reminiscent of Charlaine Harris's Dead Series, this is a fun, well written book and I truly hope only the first of many more from this author.

Sharon is desperately in need of a job, but the only way Jonathan Knottmann will hire her is if she bears his mark. Jonathan is a Vampire, though the PC term is Nightwalker, who'd have thought the Parafolk would have their own politically correct names but Sharon is about to learn that and much more regarding dealing with the denizens of the Paranormal and being a companion to a Nightwalker.

Sharon must find a way to reconcile her feelings for Jonathan the man and Jonathan the Nightwalker, but the damage done to her when she was 18 runs deep and it's not something she can talk to anyone about, even Jon. Jon demands her trust and her candor, but also has some very deep trust issues from his past. Can the two of them find the balance they both want so badly? Is their attraction really only lust or is it the respect and friendship they share already indicative of much deeper feelings.

When an attempt is made on Jon's life, and it's only her blood as Jon's companion that will save him, painful decisions must be made. Will Sharon's decision bring her the fulfillment she hopes it will or she sacrifice Jon's conditional love for nothing? There are some rather poignant moments mixed in with the grins making this quite a well rounded novel, well worth picking up reading and waiting (as patiently as possible) for a sequel to this delightful new world of amazing Parafolk.

Synopsis
Sharon Colson is desperate. Stranded in the California coastal town of Los Niños de la Noche, she's broke, locked out of her rooming house, and needs a job. Jonathan Knottmann, the local vampire, is the only one in town hiring but he won't take her on as a bartender without her becoming his vampire companion. With no other options, Sharon accepts the mark of his fangs on her neck and thus enters the parafolk world of the All Night Inn.

Over the course of the next few weeks Sharon learns many lessons from Jonathan—what brand of dog food shapeshifters like to nibble on with their beer, the kinds of drinks spellcasters favor, and that he'd rather be known as a nightwalker than the politically incorrect term of vampire. As the parafolk celebrate the full moon with howls and dancing, she even learns to love him the way he loves her.

But the biggest lesson is one Jonathan and Sharon must both learn—that love cannot thrive unless it is based on trust, in yourself and your partner.
