Michael Paine is the pen name of John Michael Curlovich, a novelist, critic and playwright based in Pittsburgh. In addition to his Paine novels The Night School and Steel Ghosts (and three others), he has published The Blood of Kings and Blood Prophet under his own name. He is every bit as anti-social as you'd think.
