Her quest for closure opens the door to more excitement, danger, and romance than Lanie Weber ever dreamed of encountering. After her father's death in the jungle, Lanie's connections allow her to be taken there by Mac Knight, a drop dead gorgeous colonel and pilot. When she arrives, Lanie steps into a world dominated by myths that have come to life.

Before her eyes is the legendary chucabara, the goat sipper, and vampires, one of whom she knows well. One foolhardy gesture is all it takes to change Lanie and Mac's lives forever, turning Mac into a creature of the night and plunging them into a war neither wanted. It's also what brings them love.

This fascinating book reimagines old legends and puts a whole new "spin" on them. Mac is a compelling hero, easy for readers to love. If you love vampires, but have begun to feel like all the books are becoming formula, then read Out of the Night - it is much more than that.

Synopsis
As a volunteer fire fighter, Lanie Weber does not shy away from danger. After learning that her father has vanished while on a expedition deep in the Brazilian jungle, Lanie enlists the help of Colonel Michael "Mac" Knight to join her on a rescue mission. But upon their arrival, Mac is bitten by a gargoyle like animal. After saving him, Lanie realizes that she is dealing with a creature similar to a modern-day vampire. As Mac begins to transform, can Lanie save him - and her father - from unspeakable evil before it's too late?
