Mike Resnick Short Story Guide

Mike Resnick has been a professional (i.e. published) writer since 1957, although before the 1980's this was in non-genre fields mostly "adult" books. He has also been a tabloid newspaper and magazine editor.

He attended the University of Chicago where he met his wife Carol, with whom he has a daughter Laura, also a writer.

From 1968 Mike and Carol were breeders of Collie dogs (exhibiting many champions) and ran a boarding and grooming kennel in Cincinnati.

Mike began his serious career as a Science Fiction author with the publication of the book "The Soul Eater" in 1981, since when he has written and edited over 70 sf books.
