More of the same is the best way of summing this up. This, the second of the Widowmaker books, deals with the Widowmaker clone this time being of age thirty eight, and this time complete with all the experiences of the Original Widowmaker, Jefferson Nighthawk. This clone is created for the task of rescuing the daughter of a politician from a rebel leader, but is all as it seems? None of the intrigue in this book is particularly surprising, but I suppose that is not the point. Mike Resnick's strengths are his narrative style and his extrememly fast plotting. And yet again here he drags us through a galaxy wide adventure in this enjoyable tale. |
