As the war between the Wizarding World and Lord Voldemort intensifies, every aspect of life is affected and changes abound. A new teacher arrives at Hogwarts, romances spring up in unexpected places, and long cherished dreams come true. Thanks to a mysterious book, Harry flourishes in his Potions class for the first time since entering school. Added to his regular course load are lessons with Dumbledore, that are designed to equip him for the inevitable confrontation with his enemy. As he learns more about Tom Riddle, a quest unfolds that will exact a heavy price upon virtually all at Hogwarts. The sixth Harry Potter book is well worth all the hype and wait. Ms. Rowling is a master of characterization, and the strength of her cast drives the action packed plot to a gut wrenching conclusion. Despite heated allegations that reading this book may lead people of all ages into evil, as the story advances, the Christian imagery grows stronger, particularly as relates to the famous love chapter, I Corinthians 13. |
