Dante Valentine's reputation as the best Necromancer extends beyond the world, all the way to Hell. As a result, when a renegade demon steals something precious to him, the devil hires her to recover it and kill the creep who took it. Should she fail, she will not only die, but cause unmitigated havoc to rain down on earth. Needless to say, Danny takes the job and the demon familiar that goes with it.

Besides, that particular renegade demon killed her best friend. This is easily the most dangerous job she's ever had, and even a demon who would rather spend time with her than in Hell, might not be enough to save the day. Drastic measures might be needed, but she hadn't planned on them being as drastic as they get.

Ms. Saintcrow paints a very disturbing picture of a world where Christ is only a myth and the devil is the master of it. It's a dark, cold place that is difficul to even visit. It must be admitted that her imagination is profound, but don't read this if you are prone to depression.

Synopsis
When the Devil needs a rogue demon killed, who does he call?

The Player: Necromance-for-hire Dante Valentine is choosy about her jobs. Hot-tempered and with nerves of steel, she can raise the dead like nobody's business. But one rainy Monday morning, everything goes straight to hell.

The Catch: How do you kill something that can't die?
