Not many readers and admirers of horror, have not heard of the horror/erotica author, Alex "Lexie" Severin. Alex is quite extreme in her pleasures of writing and telling a tale. She romances the dead, tears out souls, until she is in scarlet bliss! Yes, Severin is a Vampire novelist that others dare not encounter. She has no one else that can rival against her, not even Anne Rice.

The labors of Severin's succulent satiable thirst for blood, and its beauty, in its most raw - and erotic form, leaves her fans with the tangy taste oozing down their throats, long after the bloodletting is through. She slowly, presses her lush lips next to the reader's throat, arousing herself so. She lets that tongue dart back and forth over your jugular and you are spellbound for more of her work. You have been warned!

Pulse - Part 1

In Pulse - Part 1: Alex did not disappoint her fans; instead, she took them on the journey of the night, to drink from a living vein. Mystery upon mystery develops in Pulse -Part 1 and Alex has her fans mesmerized. Was she dreaming? Was that warm scarlet liquid keeping her balmy? Who was her teacher of vampirism that explained to her the real Vampire decrees? Not that garlic, crosses and coming out at night to feed concoction others want you to believe. Her desires raged with passion for him. She fiercely ached to feel his broad smile press upon her neck and slowly have his daggers pierce through her fresh skin. How did she feel? What happened to her afterwards?

You will yearn for more as your blood runs cold and your heart pulses as the lingering sensations awakens, arouses your most deepest conception and takes you beyond flesh and blood; but to the peculiar essence of the other side.

In the Flesh

What would it be like to be dazzled by the dead, an ice-cold corpse? Would you be in the utmost ecstasy having his iciness inside you, his chilled hands pressed upon your warm soft skin? How bedazzled would one be, to want to kiss an open wound, perhaps fondling the heart itself from an open autopsy incision? Alex let's her character inside that deepest part of the realm of the psyche. That frenzied maddened desire to be with her lifeless lover.

In the Flesh to this reviewer, shows exactly the romantic that Alex really is. That defying death, her romance to be loved and to reach deeper than the flesh abounds into a spiritual encounter.

To Slake This Thirst

Be careful what you wish for; you just might get it! Ever heard that before? Of course, you have. Alex portrays a young woman, an outcast in her family, a woman that defies the conventional mundane lifestyle. She knew the bloodsuckers could hear her pleas her desires to be with them. Their Russian voices danced with her emotions, their strokes of their tongue upon her neck was like an ice cube melting against her human flesh; offering her a kiss of eternal life.

Alex Severin has an unique tone and style. She builds up the mood slow; like a trickling of wax upon a cold candle, burning softly on a tranquil night, warming itself by its flame. Her expressions are stimulating. As this succubus lay upon the man, he awaits that moment, that atonement of making him wait endlessly for her slithering bite upon his skin. Slowly, her incisors separate the skin and he revels in the deep passion that a part of himself is flowing through his beloveds veins.

Cold

What woman would crave the stroke of a ice-cold stone dead corpse's love? The only life he felt was when he fed. That hot metallic fluid flowing down his throat soothed his desire to be loved. A willing lover, companion if you will - one that would eagerly embrace a death and willingly kiss the scarlet that flowed from his vein, to become... to become like him. What woman would be willing?

This Scarlet Bliss

To what extent would one show their love for the other? How would one feel if the other stood before them in the moonlit window with a shimmering blade in their hand and slowly opened their skin for their mate? Would that entrance their lover? Would she drink of that scarlet bliss? Bleeding eagerly into her mouth and then she opens her throat with the same blade and her lover drinks from her. Tasting one another deep and passionate wounds of desire.

The scarlet bliss is the gift one gives to the other, freely.

Inside You

To reach an innermost ecstasy, a devastating climax , to know what it is to be inside a ravenous lover; causing a rush of adrenaline to surge through the veins. Wanting to know what it is to feel like to hold her, to caress her, to feel her pain and bloodsoaked emotions... to feel deep inside her dark heart. What is it to desire her? What could that possibly feel like?

Alex Severin captures a powerful love scene in this erotically short and snappy romance. Understanding that grip and that explosion that comes from inside you as you reach that overpowering pinnacle point during lovemaking. But what does it feel like when you feel? To be inside you?

How Alex managed to flow so beautifully and poetically in this wonderment is beyond me. She however, is a poet for the love of blood.

Romancing the Dead

Eddie's first sexual experience happened on Halloween. A young girl had been stabbed to death. A beautiful woman she was, and Eddie could not contain his satiable appetite for the young beauty. He snuck into the mortuary later that night and found the cold corpse. He penetrated her wound with his adoring tongue. Sex with the living did nothing for him, however, romancing the dead was a different story.

Angie, Eddie's frigid girlfriend was one that did not interest him much. Nonetheless, the ending is a shocker as Angie discovers Eddie's love making secrets; she has a few of her own.

Bite Me

Teens can be so cruel and school days are some difficult times for those that are different. That being said, what if you were goth, a Vampire; and you admitted it to the bastardly students that tormented you daily? That is what happens in this sleepy little town where nothing much happens; well, unless you call someone stealing Mrs. Johnson's recipe for Rice Crispy Squares something exciting.

As one of the little troublemakers taunted her, calling her freak, pleading for her to show her teeth, she stared back with a stony stare that would scare Drak himself, I am sure. He said, "Bite me!"

He abducts her and that is when she realizes she is going to kill him. She plays his little game, she sees what he really wants from her. Toying with him and arousing him immensely although disgusting herself due to the fact she abhorred the disgusting maggot. His face goes ashen when her teeth clamp around him!

Dreams of Imperial Blood

A dream is a dream, isn't it? She dreamed of her Imperial lover whilst she being an ordinary commoner. When she awoke, her heart still felt that burning sensation, that overwhelming powerful desire to be with him. She was spellbound in the blues of his eyes, she had found the missing part of her immortal soul.

A romantic Russian Imperial lineage embracing the darkness and immorality was told to her, and her desire to be a Vampire was enlightened and heightened. She hungered after this Imperial life. Draped in his arms, reveling his tender kisses as his passion raged his heart beat violently against her as he made her one of them. As he slid his razor-sharp teeth into her tender flesh she was experiencing intense pleasure, beyond sexual pleasure. No, this was a spiritual pleasure where she felt she would die in ecstasy. Every nerve keen to his touch and then that maddening taste of him as blood-boiling as it would be for Mary Magdalene to drink the blood of Christ's wounds, her Imperial Prince! To drink all his emotions and tasting all of them in the sharp tangy crimson liquid oozing down the backs of her throat. Until, her painful changing took place; a transformation from human to immortal, being God and Satan at once. Where no Heaven nor Hell would be their destiny! Age would not be the demon that hunted her down no more, she'd be eternal with her dream Prince, Nikolasha the Russian Duke.

For the Love of Blood is one book I thoroughly enjoyed and devoured passionately. I am very astounded at the craft Alex Severin displayed in this menagerie of horrors. Her obsession with blood and Vampires are told magnificently through this book. I was quite surprised how much I did enjoy reading her imaginative blood-soaked writing.

Alex Severin will be a name above all other Vampire authors, she will raise the dead with her undying devotion to terrorizing the living with her crimson liquid dreams and blood lust, her scarlet flavored damnations, and her delicious taste of immortality. I say more power to her and I hope to see Alex Severin, this Goddess of eternity ascend above the cliché Vampire tales and have these vignettes reign over them.
