Following their defeat of the Zombies and having come to a working agreement with the resident ghost, Bruce Vincent and Roxanne Rogers have moved into their Victorian mansion with the intention of setting up a barbeque restaurant (the "Stuck Pig") within the mansion. Things seem to be going reasonably well. They have already been awarded the "Silver Skewer" from the Bar-B-Que Lovers of America. Surely this cannot continue – of course not!!! Whilst taking out the trash one dark and stormy night (yes, the usual setting for a Bruce and Roxanne story) Bruce is attacked by a rather large dog. Within a matter of minutes he finds himself running around on all threes (remember, Bruce lost a hand in an earlier adventure) and getting hairier by the minute... Once again Bruce Vincent has got himself into trouble. This time he has managed to get himself changed into a werewolf! With the help of Madame Rose, a rather inebriated gypsy medium, Roxanne must find a way to get her beloved Bruce back to his original form. Madame Rose is a wonderful new character. She has a superb "Lugosi-Dracula" eastern European accent, her dialogue is liberally sprinkled with "Darlink"s, "Vervulf"s and "Ve Haf to..."s. I love the Bruce and Roxanne stories. They are perfect for a 15 minute read over a nice cup of tea. |
