The Earl of Wesmorlyn seemed entirely too bland and safe to ever be a suitable match for Charlotte von Wolfram, yet they were betrothed, something Lyluph Randell is determined to stop from being completed. He knows the secret Charlotte and her brother hide, for it is his own as well; they are werewolves. With faux offers of friendship and help, he seeks to keep her from Wes, but the Earl is not all he seems either. Yet, his secret makes the growing love he feels for Charlotte utterly verbotten, leaving her vulnerable to becoming prey for a heartless man.

In many ways, this is a fairly conventional Regency; it is the secrets the protagonists carry that set it apart. I'd have enjoyed seeing more focus on Wesmorlyn's hidden life than the lycanthropic aspect, as his is a fairly original twist in the tale. However, fans of paranormals and Regencies, either or both, should love this.
