His abilities and knowledge are vital to the Changelings when a killer begins to move among them, taking victims. Moreover, he is essential to Brenna's healing as she wrestles with what happened to her. Yet, Judd cannot allow himself to feel, though he knows how much Brenna needs him to. If he lets his guard down, she could die, or he could be damaged beyond repair.

The highly imaginative, compelling drama Ms. Singh began only continues to grow in complexity and depth. Readers need to be aware that they do need to have read at least the first in this series to understand the dynamics of this world. The author's world building skills are quite adept and admirable, and you need to know the full story to understand all the rules of it.
