Astounding! OK, so this was a book written by one of my favourite authors but it was still an amazing concept brilliantly written. From the 1st page I was dragged through this book at a fantastic rate. I honestly didn’t want to put it down. A with a large number of Tepper’s books the theme has definite feminist overtones. This isn’t just because of the female main character but the general feel of the story. The main character has been born into a patriarchal society. She wants more from life – I won’t say any more as this will spoil the book. |
