It only takes Thea Barrington a short time to realize that her betrothed, Nigel Cosgrove, is not the man for her at all. He is snide, abusive, and a boor. Impelled by legends and prophecy, she stumbles through a time corridor to the past where she meets the man whose spirit is said to haunt Nigel's home, Ros Draconda.

After their mutual anger cools, Thea and Draconda begin to fall in love, but she knows that staying in that time will doom him to a fiery death. Yet, Ros Draconda does not fit in her world any more than she in his.

You will need a scorecard to keep track of when everyone is in this book, but it is a very different sort of time travel romance. Fans of Diana Galbandon will most likely enjoy this much less epic tale.
