Adriana has lost both parents in a sudden car accident and because of the shock has to spend some time in a psychiatric hospital. Her doctor, Morrison Tyler, suggests a period of recuperation on an island with no amenities, well away from the rat race.

Adriana agrees and accompanies him. The owner of the house, Older and his friends greet her with open arms, almost as a family member supposedly to help her recover fully from her trauma. Before long Adriana is led into a web of deceit, drugged, brainwashed and in her lucid moments realises that her parents' deaths were organised for an evil purpose. Adriana is catholic and is torn between her old beliefs and the subtle imposing of new ones.

This is an interesting book with an unusual setting. The story is complete with definite section, having a clear beginning, middle and ending. It is very easy to read and has moments of graphic sex and gory horror. The characters are very good and the reader feels sympathy for the heroine's plight. The occupants of the house are unusual and very "creepy". It is a book that anyone would find a good read and a good addition to any horror fans library.
