Book 5 in the Hunter Series by Shiloh Walker, and as delicious as each of its fellow novels in this deliciously spicy series.

Ben is an aberration in the supernatural world. With a witch mother and a shapeshifter father, rather than have his powers nullified as is common, he is instead both a powerful witch and a powerful shifter, a rarity in his world.

Jillian has just been released from prison after killing the Mayor's son, defending herself from a brutal rape 5 years ago and has turned her nightmares into best selling books about horrific creatures that turn from men into wolves.

Ben has been searching for her for 23 years since she disappeared from his father's pack in a vicious attack by rogue witches but was too late to prevent the attack that sent her to jail and has been waiting for her release from jail.

Just seeing her, catching her scent, Ben is almost certain she is Inherent just as he is, born into a shifting family, but also with the same uniqueness that Ben claims. Jillian, however is completely unaware of her shifter/witch roots, but her dreams are becoming more and more vivid and the master shifter Marcus that had attacked her with his "new" wolf, the Mayor's son, all those years ago, is after her again.

Can Ben convince Jillian she is indeed the girl Shadoe that disappeared all those years ago, and will her powers, so long buried resurface in time to prevent Marcus from capturing and torturing her, or killing Ben? Will the building attraction between Ben and Jillian shatter when she discovers he too is one of the "monsters"? Or will her growing faith and trust in Ben allow her to see beyond the shapeshifter to the decent, honorable man beneath?

The development of these characters adds greatly to the diversity of the characters in this rich series and while expounding the fight against evil, the personalities draw you deeper into their world with each book. Another terrific novel in a sensuous, entertaining series.
