Shiloh Walker is an imaginative writer and she has done a great job with this novel for Ellora's Cave. There are currently 6 books in this series and I'm sure after reading this one you will enjoy traveling further into the world Shiloh has created for her Hunters. Tori is a PI who finds herself in the unenviable situation of defending a young dancer from a stalker. In her pursuit of this stalker, she discovers the stalker is much more than she bargained for. With a little help from a ghostly voice she prepares to go head to head with the Vampire and even though she doesn't go down without a fight, she is still bitten. In her desperate struggle, Tori manages to seriously hurt the Vamp, and it's his revenge to leave her to turn alone and without guidance. A newly turned vamp is a starving mindless creature, but with the help from the "voice" Tori has managed to retain her humanity and she goes to the one person she knows will help her, Declan Reilly. When she turns up on Declan's doorstep after disappearing and leaving her office a destroyed bloody mess, she's in for more of a surprise than just her own condition. Declan really can relate to her altered state, and sets about showing her just how much they have in common besides their mutual attraction. With Declan's help Tori will discover that being "different" may not be such a bad thing. With some assistance from a friend of Declan's who just happens to be a Master Vampire and fellow Hunter, she learns they can indeed handle anything, even the sadistic rogue vampire who sired her. This story has been rated E-Rotic by Ellora's cave which translates into some very hot explicit love scenes. Having said that, kick back and enjoy the world of the Hunters. |
