The addition of the witches to the paranormal species lineup in With Fur For All has expanded the story line again and given Christine Warren even more delicious creatures to people her wonderful series.

Tess Menzies is stalking Rafael De Santos, well kind of, she has been instructed, by her grandfather, the retired head of the Witches Council to deliver a message to De Santos, the head of the Council of Others, a feline shifter and a Felix - Leopard King- in his own right. Tess can't imagine anyone less suited to the task to covert operations than she is, only a moderately powerful witch in her own right and a shopkeeper at that, she just isn't in the same league as the gorgeous shifter whose fabulous body she's currently ogling from a doorway across from Vircolac. Vircolac is the premier club for the paranormal population in the city, owned and operated by Graham Winters, werewolf and pack leader of the enormously powerful Silverback Clan.

With Tess following him when he heads down the street, Rafe is curious rather than concerned about the rather clumsy tail he's acquired since leaving the Vircolac and turning the tables on the delectable smelling witch is incredibly easy, what is confusing is the impact she has on his senses. Tackling her against a wall he is incredulous when she brazenly reacts with a smart aleck retort, and far more aroused than the situation warrants.

After delivering the message to both Rafe and Graham, Missy, Graham's wife steps in to keep Tess company while the men decide how to answer the summons. When Tess reads the cards for Missy, the reading takes on a decidedly unforeseen twist, though Missy doesn't seem at all surprised with the development.

When a niggling memory develops into an ancient legend concerning a were leopard and a scorned witch, Rafe is quite unsure how to handle things but with the upcoming meeting with the Council of Witches and the current state of affairs in the Council of Others, Rafe has more than enough to think of without giving a centuries old prophecy any credence, if he could only figure out why Tess has suddenly become more important to him than anything else.

When women start showing up at Vircolac to report their pregnancies to the Felix, the prophecy begins to take on far greater credence as the reproduction rate in the feline population had been in decline for centuries to the point of the race almost dying out.

Being attacked on their way to the upcoming meeting with the Witches council is something neither Tess nor Rafe expected but they both know something is not quite right but will their combined efforts be enough to protect them against an incredibly strong witch bent on killing them both.

I think this my favorite book so far in this series, and believe me that is a real hard call in a series that is as entertaining as this one. The repartee between Tess and Rafe is laugh out loud fabulous and when added to the sensual quality of Ms Warrens writing, it creates a powerfully erotic combination with 2 very distinct and strong personalities trying desperately to unravel the prophecy and discover their true feelings. This is a wonderful series through and through well worth the addition to any collection.. And I can see with my crystal ball haha many more wonderful adventures from Ms Warren.

Synopsis
In Manhattan, witches and werefolk have been giving each other the silent treatment for nearly 400 years, but now someone wants to renew diplomatic relations. When she's picked for the job, Tess can't believe it. She might be a witch, but she's hardly a miracle worker.

In the end, tracking down Rafael De Santos, the head of the Council of Others, turns out to be the easy part. The hard part is falling in love with him. And the really hard part is convincing this werecat to stop tomcatting around. Luckily for Tess, some things are just meant to be.
