Suddenly, Samantha can't remember how she arrived at this point in her life, her perfect life, to be specific. Yes, she has two absolutely delightful children, an adoring husband, and lives the ideal, suburban, Stepford Wife existence. However, she does not know what her past is beyond the last three years. Once her mind has awoken to this, the illusion begins to crack and she soon discovers that no, she does not love her husband, he does not love her, the two monsters that are the twins are not her children, and her mother in law is not her mother in law. None of it is real or her life. In actuality, it's all a demonic construct in which she's been trapped, like a figure in a snow globe, until Cor, a Fey being who acts like a supernatural cop, enlightens her and rescues her. Now, back in Vegas, her hometown, Samantha must reconnect with her mother while trying to stay out of the hands of her former captors and thwart their vile plans for the human race. Fortunately, Cor is still there for her, still helping her, along with his "kid sister".

From the cover, you'll expect a snappy comedy, but there's more to this story than that. Yes, there is humor, but the emphasis is more on action, danger, and a touch of romance than on tossing out random witticisms. This is a good thing. It's Tam Lin meets a caper movie, but only the good parts of one.
