Franck & Allison Hitchcock buy an old 1950's school to begin a new life after a long bereavement. The school has memories and they enter a life, confined to that locality, which turns in a circle, over and over. Even occasional visitors are confused.

Plot
A most refreshing and unusual plot centred on two people, a school and its surrounding area. The story is quite complex at times involving the supernatural and much lateral reasoning. There is also a strong psychological thread running throughout.

Characters
Simple, everyday characters with normal ideas and thoughts. They are well described when they are faced with thoughts and situations that are alien to them.

General
An intriguing book. Very deep and deceptively chilling. More psychological than descriptive in its horror content. A very good book, well-written and hard to put down (I finished it in 2 days!). An author to look out for.
