L.A. Banks

Author, songwriter, filmmaker, and entrepreneur- L.A. Banks is a renaissance woman who has embraced the spoken word and hip hop communities in the literary scene. Her latest project advances spoken word and hip hop through her groundbreaking vampire huntress legend novel, Minion (St. Martin's Press NYC, available in bookstores nationwide).

L.A. Banks's Minion

L.A. Banks is so serious in her advocacy of all art forms that she even offered her home as a film venue-used by Hidden Beach recording artist Kindred for their music video and hit single 'Far Away'. Therefore the spoken word and hip hop communities will applaud this Philadelphian with a party and tribute for her latest book Minion. Come out for an evening of celebration, poetic expression, and networking. L.A. Banks will speak about her book, Minion, the hip hop and spoken word communities, struggles she faced as an upcoming author, Kindred, and she will also give solid advice to upcoming writers, and more. Poetry by Monica Peters "Mama wit Da Drama" and more - L.A. Banks, up close and personal.
