For-the-Love Markets THE BLEEDING SKY http://www.bleedingsky.com Contact Peggy Jo: peggy@bleedingsky.com Bleeding Sky Magazine is a quarterly published horror fiction ezine featuring short fiction, book reviews, and a commentary on the world of horror. Guidelines: Mission Statement: Bleeding Sky Magazine exists for amateur as well as professional authors to display their works of horror fiction to the world. Accepted Genres: Bleeding Sky Magazine is looking for short horror fiction. But, what is horror? Just some of the examples are thriller, suspense, psychological, gothic, and paranormal. Basically, we want stories that will frighten the reader and keep them on the edge of their seat. The reader must care what happens to the characters of your story. Above all, the story should be original. Stories that lack originality will be rejected. Length of Fiction: Submissions must be in the range of 1500 to 7500 words. Anything shorter or longer will be rejected. Content Restrictions: Bleeding Sky Magazine believes strongly in creative freedom. Therefore, there are no real restrictions towards content. However, clever dialogue is much more effective than profanity and a good plot will always be of higher value than sentence after sentence of meaningless gore. Please keep this in mind before submitting your story. THE BLEEDING SKY SUBMISSION FORM: http://www.bleedingsky.com/submission.php Totally F***ed up Zine (http://www.geocities.com/tfuzine/) Looking for fiction that contains either drama, comedy, horror, light sf, teen, action, gay, lesbian, music, working class, mystery, goth, suburban, urban, dashboard confessional, and experimental. 1,000 - 4,000 words, respond in a few weeks, reprints are okay, just make sure you tell them, you have the rights, and where it was first printed so that it is published correctly. No hardcore sc-fi, no hardcore erotica (porn), definitely nothing with severe abuse against children (graphically killing a child or molesting them), and definitely no whining unless the character learns or changes from it. Submissions Send a .doc or .rtf as an attachment of an email. Use block paragraphs and only double space between paragraphs. In your email covering letter explain the genre of your story, word count, link to your site if you have one, and a small bio that will be tagged at the end of the story. Rights revert back to author on publication, then the story is archived the story for 6 months, before being removed. Stories can be removed sooner for publishing in another mag - just send an email.
