Review for Secrets of the Wind By Charlotte Boyett-Compo Secrets of the Wind is a short story in the Fated Mates Anthology and the first tale of the Riezell Guardians. Major Chastain Neff is a legend amongst the Guardians, her dedication to duty something others strive to attain and she's just been assigned to protect the heir apparent Prince Ruan from assassination attempts, the same Prince Ruan who is known as the Wraith for his killing abilities. When Prince Ruan thwarts an attempt on Chas' life, he just assumes she's defenseless, and thinking this is a good way to stay close to him, Chas lets him think just that. She isn't prepared for the electric attraction she feels for the handsome, lethal prince. His intense attraction to her is new to him also, and he is determined not to let her out of his sight. It's the Queen's words of a fated love between Chas and Ruan that gives Chas pause, but when Ruan acknowledges that she is another female thrown his way by his mother that Chas really begins to wonder who is really in control here and she is determined to make sure it's her. A delightful sexy tale of two strong willed people and a fated love match guaranteed to rock both their worlds. A wonderfully sweet romantica tale. |
