Many years ago, if you had asked me what my favourite genre of book was I would have said Horror without hesitation. More recently I have found that a horror tale has to be a little different to grab my attention.

To label "Urban Gothic" as different would be to do it a disservice. This is a collection of some truly disturbing, original horror short stories by masters of the horror world such as Graham Masterton and Christopher Fowler.

It has been a long time since a horror story has actually given me the creeps but Christopher Fowler's "The Look" certainly managed it.
