In Prohibition era Chicago, Kurt Angelo looks forward to a bright future with his beloved fiancée, Rita. However, only weeks before they are to be married, a lucrative job assignment falls into the private investigator's lap, taking him away to South America to find a missing man. If he makes it back alive, his life with Rita will be set financially, but Kurt never anticipated what he would find when he reached his destination; a werewolf. Will he escape, or has he seen the last of his former life and dreams?

Though the artwork is a bit rough, the story has a tragic air that provides a logical set up for a continuing series. Fans of old fashioned serial novels will enjoy this, as it has somewhat of the same tone.
