This is a TV tie in book that remains faithful to the characters from the series. It seems as though the author has actually watched the show. The story is very good, centred around an Archaeological dig on the outskirts of Sunnydale and exploring some of the myths of the Aztec empire, rather than another vampire story (although there is an amount of involvement from the local undead as we progress. I enjoyed this book and would suggest anyone who enjoys the series might also find this to be a more then acceptable read.
